Kimetsu no Yaiba is a manga series that was first published in Japan by Shueisha from April 2001 to May 2011. The story follows Tanjirou, a young boy who becomes a demon slayer after his entire family was slaughtered by a demon, except for his little sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon as well, vowing to find a way to make her human again.
The story begins with Tanjirou and his friend Zenitsu, a demon who has a grudge against humanity. As the story progresses, more characters are introduced, including Nezuko, Zenitsu's sister, and Tomioka Giyuu, the leader of the demon group.
The series is based in Tokyo and consists of numerous characters and settings that exist only in the manga. The story takes place in a world that exists only in the manga and is based on real life.
